Yeah, it almost always seems like a lose-lose situation. Helping too early will likely cause death, but so can being too late. It’s very hard to know when is the right time to help. I’m so sorry about your chick

Thank you. I’m learning that it’s the circle of life & my husband has basically told me if they can’t make it out their shell that’s Mother Nature culling the weak ones but I’m still sad about it for sure
