1st time with Turkeys - help me please

hi, i just bought 2 half grown turkey hens at a stockyard auction. i thought they were little ones, but when they came out of the much too small box they were in - they stood over a foot tall each. i know nothing about turkeys, but have assorted chickens, so have extra feeders and waterers.

these 2 have white fuzzy heads and brown stripey feathers, seem shy or listless, but as they have been in the small box for several hours and long drive home may just be car sick.etc.

what would i need to treat them with for worms, mites, lice, etc. - same a chickens? Or would i need to treat them with meds at all?

just like chickens keep them away from the other birs for about 3 to 4 weeks. higher protein feeds especially in the first 4 months and watch tehm for sinus and resp infections. other thatn that they are lots of fun and easy maintenance. Enjoy them.
