1wk old chicks red in poop

Usually, it's understood by consumers that an ingredients label will state the ingredients in order of amount, the highest being listed first, and then the lesser amounts follow.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, I suggest either serving the feed wet or fermenting it, the latter actually enhancing nutrients and flavor. Fermenting is the same effort as merely wetting the food, it just requires a few days longer to achieve fermentation. I kick start it with a splash of ACV, stir once or twice a day and keep it warm at room temp. The batch is usually ready in 48 hours for the first time, and if you use a spoonful from the first batch to start the second, it takes just 24 hours. My chickens love the stuff.

Oh yeah ok I didn't know if u needed exact measurements of each or not.
What ratio of water to food do you use 5o make the fermented feed?

Use any amount of feed, usually enough for two days, and cover it with warm water. Don't drown it. You can add more feed or water in a few hours if the consistency isn't what you want. What you want is a consistency that is like biscuit dough, not soupy, not too hard like pie crust dough. You don't want a soupy mess the chicks will wallow in and become a mess.

For this reason, I serve FF to chicks in containers too small to go wallowing in. I take empty olive or chili tins and glue them to a board for stability. Fill them with FF and the chicks will find them too small to stand in and will feed from them properly standing on the ground and not in their food.

Yeah these silkies are all inside and cause of the health issues they've all had they'll be moved to the garage brooder today rather than the brooder in my run where the 1 week older cochin babies are at.

@Eggcessive @azygous @Wyorp Rock
Yall have been such a HUGE help!!!
i havent noticed blood in poo since we all last spoke...they are still on corid water.
i peace for vacation in a week and trying to make this as simple as possible for chicken sitter!
can i stop the corid and go ahead and give em poultry cell and nutridrench for vitamins so they can get a weeks worth before i leave?
I also had the wry neck chick...can I stop the selenium and vit e in their mash or do I need to keep it up?
(Thread '5day old silkie crooked neck and now unable to move' https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...-crooked-neck-and-now-unable-to-move.1553892/)

i haven't seen any signs of any other problems since we last spoke.
my FTT chick did pass away peacefully few days after I last spoke with you all.

Thank you again!

Don't forget that you need to do a second round of Corid a week after the last dose of this first round.
This was the 2nd round of corid because I had been giving them nutridrench and poultry cell so yall said to do another 7 days.
Or do you mean another 7 days?
I would finish the course of Corid, how many days do you have left?

Personally, I rarely give chicks a lot of vitamins after Corid treatment. Their feed should have what they need, but if you feel they need them, then give for a couple of days after.
They have been on the corid water since Nov 7.
Ok I thought someone said to give them the vitamins after they got off corid.

By chance have you ever heard or recommend sourdough discard like this in with fermenting feed?
