The vet said that it could be an ulceration. I will see how he goes overnight and if I see more blood or he becomes lethargic then I will go ahead and treat. Thank you for the advice!I would go ahead and treat, not trying to scare you but by the time they're lethargic it's often too late.
Where would I find medicated chick starter? Is most chick starters medicated? As said above I bought a bag of chick starter from my local feed store but am unsure whether it's medicated as all it says is ''Chick Starter''.Picture would help, shedding of intestinal lining does strike a fear of "blood" in the stool but as azygous stated, Corid won't "hurt" and medicated chick starter helps as does ACV with the mother in their water. I always put ACV unfiltered in my chicks water (1T/gal) and ferment feeding. Keep us posted
Just to be clear I am not having a wait and see attitude. I am simply doing what my vet has told me to do. I appreciate all your advice and I will be getting some treatment tomorrow if need be. I have inspected the chicks poo since I saw the blood and there has been no sign of anymore since.
