Hi all,
you were so helpful the other day with my duck drama so I thought I'd ask about my unhatched bantams. We set 12 eggs(bought locally a mix of bantam breeds) and have been quite lucky and only had 1 infertile. 9 hatched successfully but 2 failed to hatch or even pip and when I opened the eggs they were fully formed with feathers (well fluff) and taking up most of the egg except the air pocket obviously. What causes such a late death is it something we can avoid in future or is it to be expected . I'm quite sad about it as they were beautiful little chicks. We use a brinsea mini eco, set at 38 degrees, half the reservoir filled until lock down then both sides filled until hatch. Am I doing anything wrong.
