Was just doing my morning, but check on my chicks that are two weeks old today. Everyone was fine, but the tiniest one appears to have diarrhea. After I cleaned her up, I took another photo and then placed her in the brooder and she seem to be straining. I don’t see a blockage. What should I do to help her out. I I already lost two out of this batch of 12 within the first 48 hours despite trying everything to keep them alive and I thought I was in the clear but now I’m concerned about this little one. Any help and suggestions would be most welcome.

i may not be much help, but here are some questions whose answers will benefit other users to help out.

1. what water do you give them/is the water you give electrolyte water?
2. what food do you give them?
3. what do they live in?
4. do you have pictures of that chick's stool?
5. are the other chicks having similar problems?
6. how often do you change their water?

We have fresh well water and up until yesterday. They were getting water with electrolytes and probiotics. I actually just moved her into a brooder on her own. I feed them medicated chick starter, and know everyone else is fine up until three days ago. I was doing butt checks three times a day yesterday started with just in the morning. I’m going to set her up with a water or that has the electrolytes and probiotics.

I’m thinking you should maybe start them on corid just in case it’s coccidiosis. It wouldn’t hurt them to treat them for that if that’s what is causing the chick’s diarrhea.

Dosage just in case you need it:
2tsp liquid corid per gallon of water or 1.5 tsp of powder corid per gallon of water
This is given for 5-7 days as their only water source.

The water gets changed twice a day, sometimes more if they get shavings in it
