Hey everyone!

Please help!!

Hatched 4 brahmas in an incubator. All hatched perfectly fine… after about 1-2 weeks one of the chicks was laying flat with it’s wings out, was moving around the brooder with its wings, very sleepy… wasn’t able to use its legs at all the were just sorta curled up into its body…

I noticed the other chicks kept walking over it so move it to a separate space, had to hand feed it for a few days. Now it has chirped up a lot and is able to stand up on its legs…. Still cannot use it’s actual feet, but it’s loud and eating like normal again.

Is there anyway we can get its feet to work again?? What’s going on!

Yeh I guess the kinda do curl inwards a bit

Are the hocks bending straight, or are they stuck upwards?
It can stand and and move around on the hock joint, but the shank part of the leg is stuck upward. I’ve been moving them with my hands to see if the chick can get them working again, even if i was to tape them together as you would for splayed legs it’s feet still wouldn’t work; would still be walking on the hock joint

Could it be slipped tendons? If so I think it's to late to correct it.

I guess it can be attempted. First need to get the tendons realigned, & wrap the hocks so they can't bend, but not restricting blood flow.

I was thinking it may be that.. I’ll give it a go.

If I can’t correct it what will I need to do :(
