I be had chickens for eggs for 5 yrs, raised chicks minimal problems. I got an order of 17 birds 15 Cornish x and two layers. I lost one from shipping stress. I lost number two a few days later from similar despite my best efforts. Number three died few days ago appeared to be failure to thrive. I've had them in a brooder in basement like 5 x4 ish with red lamp, waterer changed daily and meat bird feed. The remaining birds are growing like monsters and the other day I brought them outside first time. It was 80's outside. They loved it. I noticed that day, they were sneezing. I've been watching them and today's third day outside during the day. I am noticing sneezing persists, no discharge, lethargy etc. now I noted small amt blood in stool in one or two stools in their area.
I have opted to get meat birds vaccinated for coccidiosis at hatchery but don't know if they vaccinated my free exotic chick and the layer I added on to the order last minute as I don't remember them asking me. I assumed they would vaccinate them too.
Thought? I'm nervous as I've never ran into this many losses.
Oh and I have been using act and fermented feed too not 100% of the time but regularly.
