She's here!!!! She popped her head out at 12:33pm!!! Shes trying to stand but of course cant. But she's dragging the bottom part of the egg with her. Its still attached. Is that normal?? Ive hatched eggs before but I have NEVER witnessed it born like today. Ive always come in and they are all fluffy and ready.

Sounds like the umbilical cord is still attached. It should come off by itself. What time is it for you right now? I'm trying to figure out how many hours ahead I am so I know how long ago 12:33 pm is.

Is the other egg hatching? BTW figured out I am two hours ahead of you. Now I am not so confused!

I have no idea how to tell if its a boy or a girl. Lol! The other egg is rocking and rolling as well. Its also pipped.

You won't be able to tell until it is older. Soon you will have two chicks!

I am actually a teacher and do Agricultural Projects with my kids at the end of the year. This is my 8th time hatching eggs. After 2 weeks, I send the chicks to live at my best friend's farm.
