20" of Snow ! Chickens do not like..... *pics*

OH GOD 20 inches..aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh I don't miss the snow BUT do love pic's of it! My kids loved these pic's by the way.

I shoveled a path to the coop not quite 20" deep...but close....and paths to their truck cap igloos, threw down straw and scratch and they looked at it and said, nope, not gonna happen. at least not today.

Chickens are funny! I had an idea that they might be hesitant with the snow, but the "babies" were curious enough to venture out a little. Audrey (she hid in the coop after her incident) was out before the others and landed on top of the snow drift.......she didn't know how to get down and was perched on my rhody. I went out and shooed her down and she just stood there in a daze. So I had to pick her up and bring her in.....poor baby......I observed that they were very cautious with the chicken knowledge that they were dark against the bright snow: easy targets for hawks.

They went in after their photo shoot and had special treats and were tucked in with a story and everything.

Nothing scary, so they will sleep well.

holy moly thats a lot of snow!

We're in for another storm this week, so far they say only 6 inches of the white stuff headed our way - we'll be covered for Christmas!

Great pics. Hard to even imagine that much snow!! I love the photo where they are walking down the path and looking up at those high walls of snow, like what the $##?! You can just see their little brains trying to figure this whole thing out!!
