20" of Snow ! Chickens do not like..... *pics*

I love the pictures. We got cheated- maybe 5 inches.

My family is in NJ. Everyone got snow but us!!

Here in my part of NYC we got about 16".

My coop design winterization works fabulously. I have a rubbermaid type shed that's 7.5 ft. x 3 feet. I bought one of those 8 x 8 ft Sears storage tents and put it around the shed. With the shed on one side of the tent, and mye house on the other, and a good 5 ft x 8 ft span of covered grazing space my hens were perfectly happy hanging out in there. Plus, much to my delight, this "greenhousey" set up keeps temps up. The wind is nominal, as in barely there!

At night when it's 22, inside the shed and tent is 30. During the day today with the sun out and an outside temp of 28-30 degrees, it was in the 40's under the tent and I had happy chickens! The tent thingee cost $134 at SEars and I couldn't be happier. Still getting eggs too, and so far, no frozen combs.

wow I have never seen that much snow! I'm from Australia and living in Atlanta and I was worried about my girls last night in 30F...I rushed out this morning with warm water for their water dishes and lots of yummy treats.

great pics!!!!!!!!!! Another big storm is on it's way but will go north of us...as usual

I love snow but we hardly get any snow of any significance here.

My friend came over last big storm and made a path from the house to the coop that is about 3 1/2 feet wide... big and spacious. What a gent. I've always just made it a shovels width across... and then the drifting came.

Our 2 storms are cheating us. Last night was a dusting and the next one may just be rain. rain? what? nooooooooo!!!!! Our 12+ inches from the last storm has melted some and frozen so it's all crunchy and you can stand on it without falling through... well, sometimes.

Love the pics Luna !! Poor girls looked all dazed & confused,lol. OMGosh that's a bunch of snow, yall got pounded up there.
I'd love to have some of that down here,but not all of it

I don't think we've ever had a white Christmas,back in 2000,New Years day we got 5".
