Glad to see you made it home safe & sound. The Creves should do well--just make sure they have a spot to dry out as their crests will get wet...we'll have to start planning one for spring in Wenatchee this time!

Hi all,
I know we all hope to have more people at the swap in Spring and I think one way to do that is to make it closer to the majority of the people. If we did it somewhere like Monroe, I think we could get a lot more people coming from the Seattle, Puget Sound area, Olympic Peninsula and Olympia area. I think this is much more like half way to all of us that came yesterday also. What do you guys think?

I wanted to let everyone know that it was great meeting you all and sorry I missed those that showed up later in the afternoon. I am happy to say that Big Bird now has a happy home in Prosser. The lady couldn't make it to Eburg so we ended up driving and hour and a half to her instead. But she was very happy to adopt him and it looks like he will have a very nice home. @ Sherry, you had some babies that I would have love to take home....the silkie was so cute. But, I currently have an Americana raising 12 babies and winter is not a good time for me to try and raise young ones. However, I look forward to a spring meet were maybe I can purchase some pullets. And @ Angela, I so can't wait to purchase some lemon blue cochins if that line takes off. Hope to see everyone in the spring!!!!

I might be able to manage Monroe.
Sherry B. - I'm glad Big Bird found a home. I have a standard houdan rooster names Big Bird - he is fabulous and talks and talks and talks! I got a new bantam houdan rooster from Heather that is beautiful and he came with a beautiful girl too.
P.S. A little birdie told me that the feed store in Monroe sells show quality poultry. The bird who disclosed this to me stated that they purchase their birds there and wins blues every year. Just a FYI - we could coordinate it with chick orders if anyone is interested. It's Monroe Farm and Feed right next to the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. I was also told the feed store will not disclose their source for poultry.

Toodles.

Hello All!

It was nice to meet you yesterday. I wish I could have stayed to chat longer.

The little duck is doing well. She was pretty nervous until we got home and showed her the pond. She's settled in nicely since then. She and the other little one are still working things out a bit, but it's going pretty well I think.

I would definitely be up for a Spring Swap. Depending on when, I might have baby ducks by then.

Cheers!

Southrngrl-Do you know approx when the feed store gets their chicks? If not I can call them tomorrow. (they are closed today) That would give us a good set of dates to start with.
