Is that like posting like mad in the games section to up your post count so your title changes?

The idea sounds good, but it would open it up to nonsensical and frivolous posting just to get points instead of people helping each other with chicken stuff.

yup or right. it seems, lwith this system, the the points given out can be in decmils (sp?), i wonder if this could be edited, to just allow you to get points in certin sections. I will have to talk with a freined how now's a bit more about code then i do.

Terrie, the smart one that thinks

Me, The person how post what comes to mind with out thinking

Terrie, And Rob

i found this from the mod setting Via the ACP

"Completly disable a single forum from points calculations" meaning forum(s) can be left out of the point system.

How about a space dedicated for adults? I'm all about the kid friendliness, but the amount of "Lets play the BYC favorite roosterzzz" threads is getting a little outta hand. And its one reason that I had to curb my visits to the forum somewhat.

And I know, I know... liability, y'all dont want to have ages posted in profiles, or any kind of public display of who is a kid and who isn't, but A.) its already obvious who the kids are, and B.) there are ways to put a 'by clicking this radial button you certify that you are over 18'.

I'm not looking for a traditional 'Las Vegas' style adult area.... just something where those of us who aren't interested in playing the 'favorite roosterzzz' game can go and discuss things in an adult manner.

ETA: I see that this has been addressed somewhat on page 7 of this thread. Let me reiterate that I'm not looking for a section where we can post 'adult humor' and 'adult themed threads'. I just wish there was a way we could have a section where ADULTS could discuss ADULT issues without having to encrypt their posts with secret wording so that pre-pubescent individuals wont 'get it'.

Im with ChooksChick on this one. There have been plenty of times where you go to reread and make sure everything is correct in the PM/email and then click send. And at that very moment you realize you didnt hit save. W

What about having a small pop up asking "Do you want to save this" when you go to send something. Just as a little reminder. There are a couple of sites that have something similar to this. Like with the delete button. You hit delete and then a small window pops up asking "are you sure you want to delete this?" That way it doesnt auto-save it, but yet acts as a reminder in case you would like to save it.

Did that make any sense?

May I please edit and add the following:
4) UPLOADS
> I see where everyone wants to be able to delete more than one pic at a time, but I would really love to be able to Upload/Add more than one pic at a time.
> Someone mentioned Folders to organize our Uploads - I love that idea!

Firefox has it built in.

The people who have trouble with their spelling don't seem to be the same type to change their default browser, or you know, look up the word in google before posting. Having those red underlines in the text box would be such a vast improvement.

The search function is completely useless when I'm looking for a single comment in a 200 page thread. Obviously the system knows where that post is, but why just give the user the first thread? It's almost cruel!

Hi! I feel sure there are many 'other places' available to discuss your 'adult issues' on the web(Whatever those are. The most 'adult issue' I care to discuss on byc is chickens mating. I'm an adult but I don't care for inappropriate language or topics).
I don't visit Games&Jokes here, so maybe I don't see so much of what you are referring to.

I want to retitle some of 'my pages' as well. What I'll do (when I have time and the urge), is go into 'edit' and HTML and copy that, then delete the page. I'll make a new page with that code and give it the new title.

In regard to spelling, other folks poor spelling doesn't bother me as long as I can get the gist of what they are trying to say. MY poor spelling, on the other hand, bothers me greatly.
I have 2 dictionaries here on the desk and use them daily. Spell-check is a tool that would prompt me to catch words I miss.

'Auto-quote' for private messages is not an option?
Thanks!

I like this idea.

me too

I agree! I hate it when fun and games posts show up in my recent posts. There could be a chicken that needs help or it may die, but all that shows up in the recent posts thing is games.

It would be nice to be able to delete the threads that we subscribe to without having to go to new posts and then scroll down and click on subscribed topics and then click each one every time.
So I guess if there was a list like in the pm box were you can select several to be deleted all at one time.
