2013 Chicks Picked Out!

They're friendly-ish (follow me around looking for treats and come when called) but don't like to be cuddled. :hugs They were already 8-10 weeks old and kind of wild when we got them, so I'm a little surprised they became this tame. Guess we got lucky.
my d'uccle hen hatched and raised my 8 guineas. i had to seperate them since they were eating her comb and attacking my rooster and silkies

I'm thinking about getting some Easter Eggers, Speckled Sussex's, Buff Orpington's, Barred Rocks and Australorps. But we'll see! I haven't ordered them yet, because I can't make up my mind!
I want some beautiful colored hens, and they have to be good with hot and cold climates, because Michigan's weather is VERY un-predictable. Sadly I was given a 10 chick limit by my parents because I already have 15 chickens

So i'm going to get 5 different breeds, and two chicks per breed. I also really want some Campines, but I read that they are a very flighty and non social breed.

I ordered my chicks from Welp because they have free shipping for 25 chicks but I dont know if they are very good or not. Anybody order from them before? Also, my speckled sussex rooster mated my barred rock and one of my black sex links. What will the outcome be? Thanks!

How did you find out what time they shipped?my email from them didn't have any indication of time. :/

The countdown has begun....

The feed store will get their first shipment of chicks in on Feb. 8th!!

Now to see what kind they get in and show some kind of self control when buying only the amount we currently have room for.
