mine went out today too...apprently us three will get our chicks nearly on the same day

Yea! I have my brooder all set up. I just have to put water and feed in for them when they finally get here! Ahhh I can't wait!!

my chicks are here and in their brooder...forgot to take a pic before i put them in but i will take some pics of them.


all arrived perky cheeping and active...and ideal sent no packing peanuts! so glad i dont have to find homes for those boys and my 15 girls made their trip safely

So now I am paranoid that Ideal is going to mess something up!

I called them yesterday because I am planning on picking up my March order from their offices (2 hr drive; SO worth it) and I wanted to know what time they needed to be picked up. My order states that they are for pickup, and not to be shipped. Well, the lady on the phone was CONVINCED the order said to ship them. I had to convince her that yes, I seriously want to drive there and pick them up and yes, my order says as much. Then, after much discussion, she FINALLY found where my order says not to ship. If the order is THAT hard to decipher, who else is going to read it wrong? I don't want to drive two hours to be told that my chicks are on a truck! Has anyone ever picked up an order at Ideal's offices? Did it go well?

Disclaimer: I have had nothing but stellar service from Ideal in the past, but did have one DOA in my shipped order, which I am attempting to prevent by picking them up. I'm just paranoid.
