2015 breeding season

Got it wetted, the light colored area at about 2 o'clock is where the membrane pulses out with every breath. I can't tell where the beak is.

Ok u are going to have to find the beak and make a small slit where the beak is so he can breathe

Yea that area concerns me, I wonder if he isn't abdorbing yolk like he should, that can be due to malposition

It's already absorbedodt of the blood vessels so u should be ok, just try find beak

If he hadn't pipped internally by now I really doubt he was ever going to be able to for whatever reason, so think of this as giving him a fighting chance!

OK, we're done for now. I thought we were doing pretty good, only a small drop of blood. The membrane didn't bleed so I kept using a Q-Tip to pull the membrane back making the hole bigger and bigger so I could see what I was doing. Then I broke a vessel and sopped up about three Q-Tips worth of blood. Finally found the head down quite a ways and covered with the wing. Doug out the wing and now it is breathing and resting in the hatcher.

Alright I sure hope he does ok, yea long as he can breathe leave him. . I think you did wonderful, he has a chance now!

Like making sausage, kind of messy... not easy holding the wing out of the way and getting the light so you can see.
Think I will wait until later this morning to help it out, unless it tries to kick out itself. I am waiting for the kids to get in from Tejas so I'll be up for a while anyway.

Yup I would let it rest for a while, how does he look, kicking and squirming or just plain wore out?
