ohhhhhh I forgot the main thing I wanted to tell you guys!!!!!

I got up this morning and I see a long slit of light at my bator!!!!

THE COOLER wasnt closed right!!! one of the kids must have opened it and didnt close it right last night,

well they had a talk to this morning!!! ANOTHER REASON I LOVE WAFER THERMOSTATS!

TEMP IN THE BATOR 99.5 degrees!!! shwew!!!!

NOW HUMIDITY eeeeekkkkk I know its about that time to worry..... ITS AN issue!

The good thing is, we have no heat on, coal stove hasnt been on all week,

GREAT THING IS, I had that chicken stock on the stove cooking slow for 28 hours straight in the kitchen which is open to the livingroom!

Checking with a flashlight through the window, I have no external pips that I can see and I am not messing to check for internals thats for sure!

SOOOOO now I have no clue what we may have caused in there...............

maybe I dont even get that single roo or two

simple dumb little things in a short three weeks just simple dumb little things

boars prop head! how cool is that!!! that sounds so cool to make! I am sick like that just saying!! ha ha ha do you have weasels or snakes? even rats? snakes? that sucks! I want to see pics of the props if you are allowed to share!!!

oh man do I have pictures! let me try to turn them into a collage so I don't flood the thread with boars head photos haha

finshing it up. the white in the second severed dead photo will dry clear and make the gore look fresh and wet, but they needed it before it was dry so i don't have a pic of it dry.

We live in NH, so we don't usually get snakes other than garter snakes, I did see two rats- we just moved where their run is and we dug into the hill and I think we tore up a nest. Weirdest part is that one of them is a pink eyed white, so obviously it is an escaped pet, I havent owned PEW rats for over 2 years so I am super impressed it survived 2 NH winters- but they have to go either way. I am having a beast of a time catching them though, they have no interest in have-a-hearts and I am too afraid to use snap traps near the chickens, or just out in the open since I have cats wandering around. Weasels are a possibility though I haven't seen them, but I can't imagine anything larger than a rat or weasel getting in the coop.

Thanks! The darker one and 2 light colored ones are lavender ameracauna and the other 3 are lavender orpingtons.

These are adorable. I really like the blues and lavenders. I haven't had them in a flock for a while now, so, having a Lavender Orpington out there right now, and a blue Marans mix, is nice to see. The ones that are due to hatch this coming week should have some blues in there. Can't wait to see them. Bantams though. A friend gave me these eggs to hatch, along with some LF eggs..was really wanting the LF, but, they weren't even fertile. Of course, all of the six she gave me are doing well. They will be cute though. Who knows, I may keep one. Then I have LF EE's OE's set. Now, if I get a blue out of those, I'm keeping it/them.

I'm keeping the Lavender ameracaunas for sure, still undecided on what to do with the LOs. I had a flock of them at the beginning of the summer but sold them because they were mean and i also have the jubilees and lemon cuckoos.

Beautiful! I have 2 lavender orp chicks but one looks much yellower than yours. Maybe it is a splash & I got my eggs mixed up? Oh well, I'll find out eventually!

Ok last candling before setting tomorrow. I have 2 viable and 4 strong maybes. Dark but could not make out veins.

5 disgaurded. 4 clear one blood ring. I am hoping for atleast 4 hatched. Please keep your fingers crossed.
