LOL!!! they are ALWAYS listed on CL here! I have seen them made into all kinds of things yes! but a 16" pully is expensive!!!Of course whatever you decide, it's your property....
but....
NOOOOOOooooooOOOooo! I love restoring treadle sewing machines!! LOVE THEM. There is just something about being able to control the speed of the sewing machine (and exercising) with your own rhythm that is just unbeatable. Last year I searched high and low for various machines/bases and CRIED when I found tables I could have used all dismantled and made into "retro desks" without their gearing. Which reminds me, i still need to find a base for my Davis sewing machine.
Other than that, I can find these dismantled on craigslist for pennies. But for me they're unusable dismantled![]()
Ok...
It would be better if you move the eggs that are closest to the turner motor to some of the spaces in the back row. The turner motors run VERY hot and can stop development. The Little Giant egg turners have a plastic cap blocking that closest to the motor position.
If your indicated humidity is correct and it's not hatch day, your humidity is way too high. In a foam incubator like that, you'll have your best results with an average somewhere between 30 and 50% humidity for most of the incubation. Many people can maintain an average humidity in that range in summer without adding water, but if you do need to add water, a little bit added every couple of days and then allowed to dry out is helpful. It looks like you are essentially piping a humidifier into the incubator, which isn't necessarily going to give the results you want in such a small space.
Placement of the probe is important, it should be fastened to something like an empty eggshell (taped to the top) so that it reads the temperature at the top of the egg. Since it looks like a forced air incubator, shoot for a temp of 99.5 to 100F.
Just for the record, what have you been keeping your settings at, and how do the air cells look on day 18?
also is the sun hitting the bators?
no the blinds our closed and it's off to the side.LOL!!! they are ALWAYS listed on CL here! I have seen them made into all kinds of things yes! but a 16" pully is expensive!!!
agree,.... what are you doing with humidity and how are air cells looking in each of them
also is the sun hitting the bators?
you will do MUCH MUCH better with the regular coolers with a good thermostat! I havent used my styro bators since! hate them!!!
I love my wafer thermostats, no variation in temps at all, have not had to replace a wafer yet, knock wood, cheap 22 bucks and the fan motors from a computer were only a few bucks off of ebay.
oh ok, shwew! lolNo
no the blinds our closed and it's off to the side.
