Yep, and I threw another one out that was sloshy and bad when I opened it up. I pay for 20 eggs and she gives me 18, then she gives me old rotten eggs. Slightly peeved here.

I just found out that the chicken processing place in town doesn't do it anymore, I guess we are on our own with our meaties! Hubs says this year we will do the simple drill chicken plucker and then next year make a real one.... this OUGHT to be ridiculous with this many birds and my wrists!

I have been going back and forth back and forth and decided that I cant processes and now THEY CANT! GO FIGURE!!

Have hubby build you one out of an old washing machine?

I would be furious! How do you sell rotten eggs...............think how long it would be for it to really turn................I'm sorry

I looked into them, we dont have time to make one right now, we dont weld or have cutter n we are in middle of remodel.

I had that happen earlier this year. They were the first egg bombs I ever had. Within just a couple of days of incubation they started to stink. I eventually tossed the whole tray because every day for the first week there were one or two more.

The drill ones aren't really that great. It's not optimal especially if you have fryers, but can you just skin them this year then build a plucker next year?

I ended up processing a turkey that jumped wrong and ruptured his aorta. I hand plucked, and did not scald. Even with growing in pinfeathers, it went quickly. I just cut off the wing tips as those are the hardest feathers of all. The rest just peel off. If you get a pair of fish scaling gloves, it goes really fast.
