I know you are using homemade incubators, which is great...but steady temperatures are as important as the right temperatures. Humidity didn't keep the eggs from starting, but they wouldn't have had much of a chance of hatching with air cells that small.

They look like eggs that were either washed before setting, or misted during incubation. Both are bad, as they can help bacteria get through the shell pores. Eggs need to be dry to the touch, only the air should be humid, not moist where it condenses on anything.

In second incubator temp 99.9-101. Humidity was all over the place trying to stabilize it. Most of the time it was between 60-70 sept for when we added water to it it would go to high and we had to dump water out 80-90 for a little while. Then adjusted back to normal

I try to put very little water in it. The sponges or at the bottom of the unit under eggs. It's hard to adjust sponges when you can't ring them out. Like no water can be in unit at all.

60-70 is much too high for incubation. I know you are in a dry climate, so next time try a pill bottle of water and try to hit 35-40%. Try that for 4 days, then check the air cells. Add more bottles or upgrade to a shot glass if the air cells are too big, and check again at 7 days. If air cells are still too large, upgrade to a juice glass.

On day 18, put sponges, paper towels, whatever in there. Be sure they are kept moist and don't touch the eggs. For hatching, 70%-80% is great.

Once you hatch some, you will be able to tweak your settings for the next hatch.

We don't wash the eggs. We didn't touch eggs 18days because of the turner. It was only opened to add water and empty water for incubator and we always washed or hands.

We didn't candle them intell we had suspension something was very wrong. See first post on candling I forget the date it was.

60-80 is in second bator after 18 days. It's hard to regulate that one . It doesn't like water at all. No water goes to low. First incubator little giant 40-50. On humidity. It will not go over these on zoology hydrometer. But goes over on main unit not right. On both machines.we have to breathing machines each one of the unit or it will not hold temp or humidly at all.
