My eggs came! I am happy I didn't have to wait till tomorrow to grab them; the carrier may have not been back till after hours.

@My Pet Chicken kept their word on Sex links, I got 4! (Is a barred OE a sex link? If so they 5 SLs). They provided an extra too.

They all have a saddle like cell thing, the cell rolls but only near the fat end. I blame the PO for that. They where a little porus too,

I am happy with MPC!

Though I have a question. These are for a school project... Should I bring them in tomorrow, let them settle till Wednesday or let them settle here and bring them in Wednesday? I think the first option... Any other tips?

Really silly question, 99.5F for forced air incubators? Totally forgot.

Remember, if you have your incubator trustworthy enough, I can have fresh eggs to you in like three days.....It will be as if your eggs took 5 weeks instead of three...

I just looked one chick alive and kicking a lot of maybes. Eggs with veins but no definition of a chick, just darkness. Thoughts?

I have a vibratory tumbler I use out in my shop for refinishing hardware. I bet that would scramble eggs in the shell!

That would be an awesome thing to try! If you do it, take some pics please!

Us kids loved them! They were so creamy when Ma did them with the Muscovy eggs!

I know I'm late to the discussion & it sounds like uv got things under control, but I've got a hovabator w turner u are welcome to borrow. I think I'm close by u in NY as well. I have a few eggs u could put in there too. They're mixes, but should be fertile.

Oh, and @frmboyinthecity , here's a picture of some ayam cemani eggs that you asked for yesterday, next to a jumbo white egg laid by a leghorn. Lighting's not the best, but you can get an idea of size.

Tao chick, I've been following your issues and am heartily sick for you... if you don't want to try again til Spring, all good, but I will send you a good asst of eggs... don't have all the same ones that you were hoping from this hatch, but I do have many of them and others too... send me a PM and will work out best time for you...
And I'm seriously not joking... ask @chicapee if you have any doubts...

I was having a rough chicken day, which is difficult to express to close family and friends because they just think I'm crazy. Which, I am. I mean, I made a Halloween costume for my favorite chicken.

I feel for you, my dogs & I were dressed as the Village People last year, there's enough of them

. I'm sure everyone here has more "they think I'm crazy" people than not in their family. I know I'm the crazy animal person in mine!

I've done this with duct tape & tupperware til the roommate came home from a 3 day holiday. He was pretty confuzzled before the explaination...

not having a good day, my springer had two seizures today. never had any before, not sure whats going on. if she ate some cake or something else or what.... this day is just awful. family is up at the waterpark all upset when they left and so disjointed without mom. but I am sure fine without me by now! my poor baby girl is prancing around and so confused. researching online all day. vet still didnt call me back. waiting.... we had a beagle when i was a kid had them but these are not the same, these are weird....

I get that problem,too! PO keeps delivering to my house when it says clearly to hold for pick up! All three deliveries! If they can't read the box, I can just imagine what happens to those poor eggs on the trip here!

The person that ships the eggs has to put the hold on the form when they ship. Writing it on the box does nothing!

Every egg I candled, which was around 6, were all fertile! I have 34 eggs. EE's. Tomorrow is day 7. Yaay. Will candle all of them around day 14.

After 14 days or so, you will see a lot of darkness. Veins are a good sign. It's when you see shadows and no veins before day 14 that you should worry.
