I agree on the rain. My truck looks like a duster. Aww, how is the clb boy doing? His brothers are starting crow.. Well try anyway.

He is doing great I will get some pics when it stops raining. His top knot is making his comb come in wonky. I am thinking that this is common with birds that have crests. He is getting big, bigger than the little girl, but smaller than the Ameraucanas and bcm. I just started giving them scratch as a treat in the evenings.

Man I'm jealous of y'alls dogs. Mine chased one of my birds when she got bumble foot and I was holding her.

Me too, my shepherd nearly killed one of my girls. Luckily the bird was still from shock and not actually dead. She's doing fine now and has even laid a couple eggs.

That's a lot of work. I hope the mites are gone now.
I love the looks and stories about rough collies. We have one boxer left and she is amazing. I've said that I will take a break from indoor pets after she dies though. We have two barn cats, Barney and Scratchy. They don't bother the chickens but if I put out kitchen scraps they share. We have so much to do around here...

I'm getting anxious. The two shipped eggs are due to hatch tomorrow. Lockdown for the two Brabanters is tomorrow. I've played videos of chicks talking to see if the eggs respond. Slight wiggles. I can hardly wait.

I had 4 hatch, 3 CC's and an Ameraucana, not too bad for my first time with shipped eggs I suppose.
