Still so bummed about my eggs.  We were so excited. :th Anyone ever seen a half clear half dark egg (long ways)?  I am hoping maybe this one was already started when I got it and it will hatch....but even that seems really wishful thinking. :idunno
I hope it's viable!
I ended up tossing so many. Some were like this. The dark spot seemed blurry and didn't move when I turned the egg. Once they started oozing I tossed them. I have no idea why yours looks like that or if it could hatch.

I forgot to tell you. The two chicks that hatched are going to be my kids' chickens. It will be their responsibility to help raise them. My 7 year old son adopted the Ameraucana. My 5 year old daughter adopted the Barnevelder. (If a Brabanter hatches I'll let my 3-yo name it) These chickens may be 4-H show birds if possible. Anyway, I suggested some names and we settled on "Puppy" the Ameraucana and "Kitten" the Barnevelder. The kids have been asking for a puppy and a kitten. Ha!

It was only day 7 when you candled, right? Do you see veins? Or is it a dark shelled egg? Don't lose hope yet. It may be fine.

I heard some peeping!!!!!!! No pips, but a peep is encouraging.

One more hatched, one more to go..and it's pip is bigger.

I am having to work on my light Cochin. It won't stop crying, and out came some yolk! Ugh, haven't had this happen in a long time. I've had to hold it in my hands with neo, and gauze for a while to keep that from coming out more. Plus, curled toes, did not straighten up within a couple of hrs. Very tight curls..so it has taped feet..that doesn't worry me, but the yolk not absorbing does. That baby hatch all on it's own. Had a tiny bit of a spot on the bum. Have seen that lots, no problem..have to wonder if one of the others saw it, pecked and pulled. :/ It's in a cup now, it has slowed down with it coming out..still screaming off and on. Opens eyes..good sign. Just needs to absorb that in it's belly, so it won't be so full and push out when it cries. Very pretty color. I have a light blue, and now three blacks. This one with problems is a soft cream. Come on baby. Nice full muff, not sure it's a cochin! She wasn't sure with two eggs. I think it's a pure silkie.
