Still keeping my fingers crossed, but definitely feeling more confident.

I hope it's viable!Still so bummed about my eggs. We were so excited.Anyone ever seen a half clear half dark egg (long ways)? I am hoping maybe this one was already started when I got it and it will hatch....but even that seems really wishful thinking.

LOVE the namesI forgot to tell you. The two chicks that hatched are going to be my kids' chickens. It will be their responsibility to help raise them. My 7 year old son adopted the Ameraucana. My 5 year old daughter adopted the Barnevelder. (If a Brabanter hatches I'll let my 3-yo name it) These chickens may be 4-H show birds if possible. Anyway, I suggested some names and we settled on "Puppy" the Ameraucana and "Kitten" the Barnevelder. The kids have been asking for a puppy and a kitten. Ha!
