sorry for not keeping up with the posts, I again just skipped 900 posts lol and didnt enter a single contest, oh well, anyways here to tell everyone how my hatch went. 22 chicks- not great, since I started with 50something but they were all shipped eggs except for a few, and my incubator was overloaded so I am just happy I have 22 cute fluffy chicks! I have one who is laying on its side, tried bracing it in a cup, tried bandaging his legs, but there is something actually wrong, her leg and wing are misshapen or something, so it just winds up crying upside-down no matter what I try. so I am doing some google searching to think of new ideas. but everyone else is doing well, 2 cochin silkie mixes, 1 EE mix and the rest are silkies, so it is a very fluffy brooder! (will edit with picture once I find my phone cord)

I will have hmmmm ALL OF THEM PLEASE!!!! such cuties!!!!!!!! congrats!!!!!

So, here are those pictures I promised a week ago, lol. I finally have some time to breathe and can get them uploaded. I had a 100% hatch rate, but unfortunately a freak accident killed one so I have six chicks from seven eggs.

Here are all six:

The little CCL/Ayam cemani hybrid. She is MUCH darker than I expected:

And here's the little leghorn mix clearly fathered by Raptor, my AC rooster. Look at that dark little face!

this is my little dutch bantam, Enid, modeling our adorable hand-made floral vest and clothesline costume. I made the close line band out of an old headband which i covered with shredded fake leaves to look like grass. then i used some Popsicle sticks and string to make the clothes line, and i made little shirts out of fabric. the mini laundry basket just adds to her look :)

2nd Prize @chickendreams24

Hey everyone finished my entry not as good as I was hoping for ended up having to photograph and rangle the very irritated chicken myself. Lol.
Note to self: measure the height of the chicken next time, poor Ginger was tripping over the legs. And I never did get the hat on her.
These are the two best pictures of Ginger as a scarecrow. You might imagine that she wasn't thrilled. Next time I'll get help.

Here I have added a photo of the costume not on Ginger so the details and hat(which would have to have been glued on her head to make it stay there) can be seen.

I sewed all the items from scrap material and added the straw details myself. As can hopefully be seen from the photos I made overalls with a front pocket that has straw spilling out and a shirt with attached arms and hands. There is also straw out the bottom of the pants and the hat.

@MyPetChicken
please message winners and include me so that I can mark them off when they receive their winnings,
Thank you for your donations!

Thanks you tj and BTW bantambury I love the laundry line how ever did you get her to wear that? I had such a hard time getting Ginger to tolerate her costume there was lots of bribing with scratch before and after lol thankfully she has forgiven me lol
