2015 New York Chickenstock

? is anyone interested in Cameras watching your livestock/farm................from inside your home, or/and while in town shopping? HI All,
Before I talk my hubby into coming to this event - I was wondering if anyone would be interested in seeing/getting info on surveillance cameras for your coop, yard, farm, etc. My husband does this for his business and you would be able to check your farm (barn, coop, driveway, front door, etc) right from inside your house (without Internet), and you would be able to do the same away from home if you have access to Internet.

Or maybe you have internet in your house, but it doesn't work in your barn - my husband can get you internet in your barn, no problem.

So, when I am at Runnings in Rome (about a 40 minute drive) - I can check via my iphone that all my farm animals are safe. Or if I wake up one morning and see some chickens gone - I can check the camera view from earlier - to see what or who took the chickens. It's quite amazing to be able to check on your family and pets/animals any time during the day or night.

So, if there is an interest for this - I will talk my husband into coming with his stuff to show everyone how it works. If not, then I rather keep him home so the kids and I can enjoy our day with fun chicken people. :)

thanks,

The kids are counting down the days until this fun day.

This sounds wonderful! What does something like this cost? I had thought about this in the past but was overwhelmed w the options and potential cost for setup. If ur DH doesn't want to come, perhaps he can send some printed materials w you and people can follow up w him later.

I've got Appenzellar Spitzhauben chicks of varying ages & colors as well as hatching eggs from the chamois & gold spangled pen that I can bring.
700

They're smart & talkative birds who lay white eggs. The breed was developed in the mountains of Switzerland so they do well w our winters. My birds are non-hatchery stock, my flock is NPIP tested clean, and the chicks are vaccinated for Merek's.

Also have a pair of blue bredas available:
400

Possibly some started Cemani chicks as well.
Will only bring them if preordered. Pm me if interested.

Chickenstock is creeping up on us! Only six weeks! We still only have three things down for the potluck - is there anything anyone else would like to volunteer to bring? I'll bring the paper plates, but we are still going to need other things like plastic utensils, cups, napkins, bowls, and basics like that or no one will be able to eat  Is there anyone who would like to volunteer to bring those so that we have that taken care of? I think we also still need someone to bring name tags so we can all find each other.

I'll put you down for cake :) Already had you down for the wine for the raffle. I can't believe it's getting so close already.

I have a package of napkins and forks from past events I've done I can bring. I plan on bringing something for the raffle. I have to sort the things I've stashed between the 2 chickenstocks I'm attending. I am bringing a dish of ziti or mac n cheese. I'll try to get spring greens planted and maybe I'll have some ready for stock.

You can put me down for a pasta salad for the pot luck and wine for the auction.

Does anyone have cayuga ducks? I'm looking for some ducklings or hatching eggs.

Also put me down for bringing cookies for the pot luck.

I might have some bantam cochin hatching eggs for the raffle if I can get mine separated out and they are laying.
