Well we had a great time today. Worth the almost 3 hr drive up there :) and found some really beautiful wheaten ameraucana hens for my hubby so he was happy.

congrats they are adorable.

Watched the chickens settle in for the night, to make sure the new additions were ok. My bantam cornish roo scooted closer to his new girl and put his wing over her! Adorable! He's such a good little man!

We made it!!!

My son loves all the ducks and geese

My boys had fun playing with him today. :)

We had a great time; my kids now want to get bantam roosters cause they liked their squeaky crows. I loved seeing all the different breeds I have never seen before, especially the bantam wyandottes. They are so pretty...wish I could get some!

We had a fantastic time!!! We spent 6 hours roaming the place. My daughter got 3rd place in the SOP knowledge quiz! She was sooooo excited to win her first ribbon. We will definitely be back next year and my dd will do showmanship.

Gotta love the chicken man!

The Peafowl in the rafters was a hoot! Although I feel bad for the owners....

Well, what a great day! So much fun to chat with many of you, see all the birds, and learn a new breed or two. Good chicken day for sure!
Or for my nieces; #PPBAchickenshowrocks !

For those that weren't there today, a massive Australorp beat out the amazing white rock pullet for Champion Large Fowl (which did surprise me, I thought the white rock would have won):
Australorp

The White Rock, Champion American:

Both of these birds were absolutely massive.

And I think everyone got a picture of the Peafowl in the rafters. They must have got them down because I didn't see them this morning.
Peacock:

And the peahen:

And everyone says that chickens are homely when they are in their adolescent age. How about these black swans that were in the sale area? They need to grow into their feet.
