Honestly, he isn't a game bird? I thought when they have tiny heads and very low combs = gamebirds. Another embarrassing lesson learned.

look up the different combs rose combs, pea combs and walnut combs are usually low and are great for cold weather because they don't get frostbitten as easily and gamebirds can have pretty large combs if they aren't dubbed
