2017 Gosling Hatch a long!!

Pics
Got my very first ever goose egg this morning. It's small but assume they're like chicken eggs and will get larger. The neighbor's eggs are much larger but her geese are several years old. At least she laid it in the shelter and not out in the snow and mud.

I will tentatively join the hatch along! I have a mated pair of Pilgrim geese; Abigail has begun laying an egg every other day. Unfortunately, we have yet to see Uncle Waldo breeding her. Nevertheless, we have been putting her eggs in the incubator in hopes that maybe he is taking care of business on the sly.

However, I just candled one that's been in the incubator for four days, and I don't see any development. Is it odd that she would be laying eggs without him breeding her, I wonder?

Well I'm down to 3 eggs. I took care of the pests that were eating them & was up to 9 altogether (6 in the nests) & the dog stole them. I'm thinking something is trying to tell me not to raise goslings this year lol I'm thinking I might rehome all of my geese and take a break from them for awhile. It would give me more time to focus on the rabbits. I bought 3 more pregnant rabbits in the past two days, they are due within a week to 10 days, so I will definitely be busy with them.
The babies I already have are 3 weeks old now. Spoiled rotten little balls of fluff lol
Here's they are from today, it takes 2 hands to hold them now.

OMGOSH!!! If you don't stop posting pics I'm going to have to get some bunnies, they are way too adorable!!

I have six Pilgrim goose eggs in the incubator, with
today being Day 7. We have never seen our gander breed our goose (they are 10 months old), so we don't know if the eggs are fertile. This evening I candled the eggs and four of them looked like this:

Maybe it's wishful thinking making me see what isn't really there, but doesn't it look like there might be a dark spot with little lines coming from it...might this be a developing embryo??

Here is another one of the eggs:
