Also, new ducklings arrived, idealpoultry were awesome and paid for priority shipping so I got them as truly day olds. The difference is already like night and day. The other chicks ate and drank, but these are vigorously drinking and eating, and playing with the older ducks too. I'm just so happy. View attachment 1035826
Oh I'm so pleased about the ducklings. Thank goodness they are ok. Maybe the last lot were a 'bad batch'?
I know what you mean about the internal pipping...mine have shadows at the back.if the air call and I can see them pushing against the membrane but I don't think any of them have actually internally pipped yet. They've been like that for two days now!
It's like an actual goose head shadow inside the air space isn't it when they've pipped?

Hi all, I'm a newbie with 5 goose eggs in the incubator. Today is day 4, I got temp and humidity andD other info from an article here.
I have been hatching chick eggs for several years but this is my first time with geese.
Advice needed and more than welcome!

Lol! Same boat over here! I've hatched so many ducks and chickens but only geese a few times!

Welcome though. What kind of geese are you incubating?

Welcome- I'm totally new to hatching period, but I can comisserate like nobody's business!

I'm going to go candle the two eggs left. Fairly certain I'll be tossing one of them, and I need to remember to draw out the air sack and the giant saddlebag so I know which way I can rotate it without killing the baby.

Wish me luck. Lmao
