2017 Gosling Hatch a long!!

Pics
They're pretty skittish as they've been parent raised so far but I'm hopeful they'll come around. The male is going to be curly breasted and I'm not sure on the female just yet but they're cute <3

Also, I got a pair of colored sebbies tonight, and my oldest is thrilled.
So cute! The goose I have that looks like that was called a Pomeranian saddleback, but the breeder wasn't positive as he had all the goslings penned together and they were molting when I bought them. He had said worst comes to worst I bought a Sebbie for the price of a Pom. I'll try to post pics tomorrow before I have potential buyers come to look at them. I so wish I could keep them, I'm pretty bonded and I think they are too.

So my African started laying in Mid-late May. One of my Rouen ducks went broody on the eggs. A couple weeks ago a copper maran hen joined her. Checked the nest today. One egg peeped at me and another was scratching inside. Husband wants me to bring them to the house to hatch. He's worried chickens will kill them. I want them to stay a bit longer. Suggestions?
Sounds like an interesting set up! Ive heard of it working before though. Let us know how it goes. :)

What gorgeous pictures! And you eldest looks smitten!:love
Keep us posted on that egg!:fl

I believe we have a bit or rocking today! I still don't see an internal pip. We are day 28 today. I did see movement, of what I thought was a little beak moving up and down but it's hard to say for sure what it was I was looking at.

The new geese are settled in nicely. They seem calmer today too.

Oh WRVgirl that's so exciting!!! It won't be long now then!
I'm so glad your geese are settling in well too!
My babies had a lovely day today outside splashing and playing in the garden. Theyre already more than twice their hatching size at only a week and a half! Bless them they're growing up too fast...*sniff*:hit

We have geese! One out of egg one half out. And two more w lots of movement today.

Day 29 today. Still not sure I see anything other than brief movement.

Starting to worry a little.
Don't panic just yet. It may not have internally pipped. When mine had internally pipped I could hold the air cell end of the egg to my ear and hear a gentle clicking which was them breathing. Are you able to have a careful listen? Don't tilt the egg at all just gently listen.
Be patient hatching takes ages and they rest loads.

This is what it looks like. Can't hear anything (but my refrigerator is also really loud and I don't want to wander around the house holding it (because I'm pregnant and clumsy)
