Yay!
I am getting impatient... Hahaha. If any feed store had chicks this early I would have them already.
I've looked at online ordering but I can't do a small order [to Wisconsin] until April due to cold. And I'm not allowed to have 15 chickens. XD
Oh well. I'll just wait. 9.9

Our local feed store just got in their first batch of chicks, I’ll keep my fingers crossed that yours gets in their chicks soon! I was too impatient to wait so I know the feeling.

I saw someone reference ordering chicks from chickensforbackyards.com and looked them up. In all my browsing I hadn't come across them before. They ship small numbers even in winter! I emailed and asked them about cold, they assured me they add extra heat packs and insulate the boxes if the weather on the route is cold. And of course the 48hr gurantee. So I ended up ordering 3 Easter eggers, 1silver laced Wyandotte, and 1 welsummer. The ship date is Feb 14!!
The only downside to this site is that you can't see the ship/availability for the breeds you choose until you place the order. However, I was easily able to send an email with the chicks I wanted to check ship date before ordering.
So hopefully this works out!! I am off work that Thursday so I am hoping for a speedy 1 night delivery. I do work Friday but my Mom is more than willing to pick them up if they come in Friday. :)
Just picked up all my chick food and supplies!
