My first order of chicks has shipped!

I just pray they’re all healthy and arrive that way.

I have a batch that shipped today too. Can't wait! Hope everyone arrives safely.

I let my cochin babies out to forage a little this evening. They went to town on the weeds The fence for the run should be completed this weekend and they will be out all day.

Broody EE still won’t quit. She seemed broken today. Walking, eating, pooping. So I put her out to free range with the flock this evening and she B lined for nest boxes right after promptly dust bathing. Puffed up and started her same broody self back up.

So we invested in this double decker bad boy. After putting her in here she went back to “normal”! DH is cracking, if she doesn’t break by morning. We’re going to build her a brood box in my hospital wing in the coop and and let her hatch some Ameraucana eggs. Wish us luck

They did come from Meyer, and there is a faverolle,dominique,buff brahma and a speckled sussex in there. The faverolle shipped just fine as strong as the rest. Everybody was thirsty, hungry and ready to be out of that box. They've all pooped quite a few times too.
