I did see a pancake because I'm on a chicken forum, why would I see an egg? DUH

I have several of the same breed and would like to tell them apart at a glance.I saw the pancake as well. I guess we all must be hungry! Great idea on using the phone flashlight...
I guess unless your doing a breading program and want to ID witch hens being mated, I don’t understand the leg bands? For the typical back yard flock it shouldn’t matter. ???![]()

2 black Australorp
2 partridge rocks
2 Silver Penciled Rocks
3 Speckled Sussex
I’ve noticed that I can tell my 3 SLW apart but it’s difficult and extremely difficult with two of them.
It’s kind of funny now because it never occurred to me to get just one of a breed. That is why I got all different breeds, except the brahmas. They are pretty much identical. I thought one had a little more black but now it doesn't seem to be the case.
I think she is going to be the head chicken too. The 1st to try everything. She is a golden cuckoo Marans.Love how the little chick has come up to the camera - star in the making perhaps ... lol
