Well it got down to the 30s last night and the chicks all survived with no problems. I was just a little concerned, not much though. I brought them some nectarine slices this morning, they sure love those! I was trying to figure out pecking order by who moved for who. Either Jade is the lowest or she's just shy of me being around. She's the one who runs from me the most. But all of them except Diamond run now. Teenagers! I can touch Opal, Pearl and Amber if I move slowly and they come up to me. Amber got a bit scared of me from all the stuff I had to put on her crest feathers. I think she's doing ok now though. She has stubble in places and I'm pretty sure they were actually breaking off the feathers instead of pulling them out. I trimmed the feathers around her eyes so she can see now so maybe she retaliates when they go at her now. She can see who's attacking her. I think she's gone up in the current pecking order too, that ought to help. She's the biggest one, she should throw her weight around a bit, tell them no way you're ruining my beautiful feathers, lol!
