Really liking the sound of this, I'm thinking of stealing your idea, can you tell me do you put any branches in too and if so approx what size?I just spent an hour making the run equivalent to the forest. Maple leaves, twigs, juniper leaves(well kinda like a leaf but more ever greenish but brown), and about 3 other kinds of leaves.
Then I wonder why my chickens are night owls...lol
I'm sure I'm confusing the raccoons and Opposums, so a win win for me.

Awwwwww fantastic
Is the blue egg the only one of colour or do you have other colours?
Ohh how lovelyIt seems that I have two almost three shades of light brown and the blue one.
Looks lovely and looks like they'll provide a lot of warmth and protection for their feet. I'm not yet sure where I'm going to find enough leaves but I'm going to try - I thought about our local woods and park but I am reluctant because of the many dog walkers whose dogs use the area for a toilet! I'm really bummed because a few weeks ago my neighbours trees shed a lot of leaves which fell into my garden and I just cleared them away. I have some very large ever green shrubs which I could use but all my birds love to eat off them so I don't want to cut them too much and end up leaving them without.
