Thank you hun, I appreciate your thoughts, support and prayers.@Anna Ranieri
I’m sorry about this whole situation.
I really hope you can keep the chickens and get the others to the sanctuary.
I hope that if you can’t keep any of them that eventually your heart will heal enough so that you can find some sort of easy care pet that IS allowed there and that it will bring joy to you and your family.
I will keep you in my prayers.![]()

No fish??? Do they mean outside ones in a pond? They might attract masked bandit fishermen or something? Or do they think someone will start a Tilapia farm in the basement?Thank you hun, I appreciate your thoughts, support and prayers.
It is highly doubtful I will get anymore pets, the only pets permitted here ae cats, dogs and caged birds such as budgies, cocktiels, canaries. I have a budgie which lives at my mothers because after losing his partner he got lonely and her cocktail also lost his partner so we decided they could be company for each other as both are long in years and this is working very well for them both. I don't want cats or dogs again and am doubtful I will ever have budgies again. My daughter has fish which the rep told us they are also not permitted under the covernent but said he won't disclose that we have them as they have not been a source of complaint. My daughter has kept snakes in the past and has always said she wants to get another when her kids are older but these are not permitted here either so will probably wait until she has her own home years in the future.
We are still waiting to hear from the company about whether they will accept our request to rehoming the ducks and keeping the chickens but as soon as we know I will post on here.
Thought you might like to know the segregation has worked well, there is still chasing but the violent attacks have stopped. We kept Pedro and Jellybean indoors together, completely away from and out of sight of the rest. We kept Pedro segregated for 5 days and Jellybean for 7 days, we were fortunate that no one forgot anyone and were able to just let them straight back into the flock with no integration needed, it was as though they'd never been away. Roo grew a lot in confidence and still is as confident even though the two are back and chasing her, she no longer hides and is no longer flighty with us either and although she never fights back she stands her ground which we are thankful for. They aren't together as much as we hoped but do spend a lot more time together than they ever did before the segregation. Pecking order hasn't changed but they have time foraging together which has never been before, so on the whole a positive result.
How sweet!!Happy Valentine’s Day you guys!
DH surprised me with five Black Jersey Giants this morning! They are worn out from their journey but I will post updates as they become more active. View attachment 1673563

Both! Not allowed inside or out, not even allowed rabbits, hamsters- in fact not allowed anything other than cats, dogs, small caged birds and that applies to indoors as well as outdoors and it is absolutely ridiculous! No fish??? Do they mean outside ones in a pond? They might attract masked bandit fishermen or something? Or do they think someone will start a Tilapia farm in the basement?![]()
