if some body charges you 40 bucks for an fertile egg for hatching egg, it should be just that. so i'd assume that the bullet eggs are just as good as any other size or shape egg. my reasoning, who ever sold you the eggs is risking their reputation. If they knowingly sold you duds or eggs that had a less likely chance of hatching then who would ever buy from them again. I mean the number of people wanting emu eggs is limited, it would really be a mistake to "screw over" people and get a bum reputation. just my 2cents..but that would be my logic. hand in hand with this logic, if i was the buyer and i found out the egg were less likely to hatch, i would demand my money back, and and publicly expose a breeder that had tried to pass off subpar eggs.

Seems like blown out emu eggs sell for pretty good money? Could there be a market for feathers?:D

well hoping not to end up with 16 blown out eggs but....i might try selling them if i do.
i scooped up a few feathers but then it rained so iT might be a or so till i can get some dry not muddy ones.

it's day 52 and still...nothing i've stopped turning the eggs. who knows what will happen.
i do know my male got more and more aggressive as time went by so maybe the second batch of eggs will have some fertile eggs in the mix. It also possible i screwed up the incubation. said it before...i should have bought some other eggs as a control. the other 10 eggs went in March 7th half way there.

Day 49 and nothing yet. Still 3 wiggling eggs. I am loosing my mind. I feel like I should stoo turning with every ounce in me. But all I read it says not too. I am freaking out bc so many rotted I need these to make it.

Why do the places you've read say not to stop turning? Just curious :) I kinda use my best guess as to when to stop. I tried 'sounding' them this last time around and I think I was able to tell when they had drawn down and to stop turning.

day 50+ not counting anymore....pretty sure this first six were not fertile. was thinking what if my male isn't sexual mature. thinking forward to next year. so i got out the old emu farmers handbook. looked up how i would get a sample. Chapter 12.5 ,and I've been laughing all day. just saying all biological science aside...hell no. the grunting shuttering and pecking is out of the question!

They wont even stay on one side without support and the egg looks like it is standing on one end. Today is day 50. Is it ok to stop now? They are alive. No whistle yet but it is loud here too so.
