That works out to 0.14 ml per pound of bodyweight for 5 consecutive days.
Valbazen is 3 days, Safeguard at the lower dose is five days, Safeguard at the higher dose might work in three days. The dosage I was going to use was .5ml/ 2.2lbs. I thought it was 3 days for gapes and tapes and 5 days for capillary worms
Safeguard 10% for goats is what I used when I had one with gapes. I gave 0.23 ml per pound of body weight for three consecutive days.I have the safeguard 10%
The goat/horse dose is only 0.023 ml per pound (5 mg/kg).The dosages given on safeguard for goats and horses are calculated for goats and horses, which have much slower metabolisms than peafowl. If you are going to dose with those, you should really check with a vet. Also tk you are in the north east where gapeworm is more prevalent so if you have had it before there is a better than average chance that that is what it is. Fenbendazole is pretty safe to treat with even as a general dewormer as long as you get the dosage right. You should be able to call an avian vet and get that info. If you need the number for one I can give you the information for a Toledo vet.
