That's the reason why i stapled it loose to the wood. If it is pulled tight it can tear much easier. I need to cover the inside walls with wood, so that the duckies cannot touch the wire, then i can hook up my neon-transformer for instant death. It was too windy here yesterday and i had to take down the tarps.I sure wish you could get that hardware cloth. That chicken wire can rip with something that big climbing on it.,
OMG, please get some hardware cloth up on there because that thing is eventually going to rip that chicken wire apart! Raccoons are strong and smart and it will figure it out quickly. If he doesn't minks and weasels can easily fit through the holes of the chicken wire and as you know they are duck killers too! 1/2" Hardware cloth with keep just about everything out!The coon was back several times this night:

I didn't know you had a bear too! Geeze! Better get that bow thing ordered! Not sure that would stop a bear though!
I had no idea bears and racoons are in the same familly, I'll have to look that one up!Bear? - Racoons are members of the bear family!
Hardware cloth isn't an option, it is too expensive, one side of the house is 4x2 = 8m² (86 sqft) times four is a fortune… As i wrote earlier, the lower part of the inside walls will be covered with those epoxy/wood panels and then the whole outside wire will be electrified, using my 3,000V Neon transformer. It will kill everything smaller than a coyote instantly and will hurt a coyote's nose very bad.
6 weeksOh my gosh I cannot get over how big they are and so beautiful. How old are they now?
