@Magnolia Ducks is the fabric fence from Premier1 and do you recommend them?
Yes it is from Premier1. I do recommend it. It was pricey, but I could set it up myself. The first time was a struggle, but I just moved it and it only took about 30 minutes. I learned a lot the first time I set it up and I think it will keep getting easier. I got the starter kit that you can add to. The battery will support 3 times the size if needed. I lost all my flock but one to daytime predators before getting this. Have not lost one since. No guarantee s. Also I suspect it will not stop a determined predator. Long story but I have been shocked by it more than once. I am a bit of an idiot. It's mostly an unpleasant tingle. Premier1 was great to deal with and their fencing catalog is a must. The instructions with the fence are a bit sparse but the catalog has lots of good information.

Not that I have noticed. I will look more closely tomorrow. I moved the electric netting to their stall today and opened the door for their first time outside. They were too scared to go out but George was happy to go in and Bill them all ferociously. I had to catch him and put him away. He was even attacking the geese which are twice his size and they were running and screaming. Hopefully time is on my side. Mini was just amused.
Look at the video i too this morning, at least two of the Magpies have white wingtips and the are between black and white is dark purple:
I don't care if this is "correct" for the Magpie breed, that color looks awesome! The video doesn't show it right.

I had no idea bears and racoons are in the same familly, I'll have to look that one up!
Just looked it up in Wikipedia: Raccoons are members of the Procyonidae family, some kind of cousins to the bear-family:
»Because of their general build, the Procyonidae are often popularly viewed as smaller cousins of the bear family. This is apparent in their German names: a raccoon is called a Waschbär (washing bear, as he "washes" his food before eating), a coati is a Nasenbär (nose-bear), while a kinkajou is a Honigbär (honey-bear). Dutch follows suit, calling the animals wasbeer, neusbeer and rolstaartbeer respectively. However, it is now believed that procyonids are more closely related to mustelids than to bears.
