2019 Spring Ducklings are here!

@Magnolia Ducks Hmmmm where are you considering moving?

The closest one is next door, onto the Oregon coast and the other is near the Fort Sam Houston & Lackland Air Force Base medical complex in San Antonio. I could be more content in either location.
If you move to San Antonio, you will have a little drier heat to put up with than we do here or in Magnolia. Probably only have to break ice in the duck pool/water once every couple of years.

Thank you All! I appreciate the input!! I need more current information about the exposure to a Tsunami than the outdated maps I have located so far, it showed the worst case of a 8.8 quake. According to that, the acreage would be dry but it would be stranded for awhile for road repair. Like WannaBeHillBilly, a large pantry might be a wise investment.

One of the reasons why the west coast of the Americas is off-limits for me to settle down: Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Tsunamis! - All other natural disasters are somewhat predictable, as i usually say only idiots are killed by hurricanes (and, sadly rescue workers!) you know at least five days that its coming, so get away! But an earthquake…
We bought the house in Houston in August 2008 and in September we were hit by Hurricane Ike, too early even to file an insurance claim. Now guess what would happen when i buy something, let's say in Loma Prieta CA…

It was comical, I decided the ducklings earned an adventure for turning one month old and being in such good condition. I took them out to the pasture that adjoins their parents duck house. All four stayed close together as they explored their new territory. When it was time to return them to the house, they decided otherwise. I managed to get Daffy and a brother back into the carry box. Trouble and the other drake split at high speed in opposite directions. Trouble got tangeled in the plastic fenceing and was screaming her head off. That left one little boy and was he ever active. No fence could contain him. He was limber enough to go through both the welded wire as well as the plastic fencing. He lost it, the poor little guy went to the front yard, back through the duck run and into the backyard. The neighbors cat was lurking in the area so I had to do my best to keep him alive. It all ended well, but it will be their last adventure as they await their integration. They now have a temporary home in the garage. I will try to get one more weight, but no promises. You have a good rest of your day!

@ WannaBeHillBilly : Trouble Duck! That seems to be the well earned name for this Duck. - Like with my Pinball Duck.

Well, let me count the ways. Only girl of 4, first to pip, when she finally graced us with her appearance days later, she was born upside down and backwards. It would have been great if I could have caught that hatching on video as a teaching moment.
