2019 Spring Ducklings are here!

Pics
I found a thing today at CVS, it was labeled as a refrigerator tray, but it works well as a waterer tray.
Excuse the mess, took the pic before I cleaned lol
It’s higher on the back, and dips down in the front. I laid a kitchen cloth over it so make it easier for them to climb over. I think it will last with the Calls for a week or so, and keep things a little drier.

I must refill the one gallon waterer three to five times a day! Without them messing much with their water…

I do mine 4 times with only the five ducks and two geese. I also have to completely clean the brooder every day because of the water mess combined with feed and goose poop. Goose poop is the worst. Why did I want these geese? They are cute though.

I thought ours went through a lot. A three gallon waterer every day the last couple weeks of brooding 9

I know! Goslings are even "cutier" than ducklings. But when they grow up... those voices, like chalk on a school-blackboard.

I have no license or registry or anything for mine. Just a gun cabinet

Honestly, the call duck hens can be loud....and shrill! But the volume is still less than some roosters. (My bantam roosters aren’t too bad) My Swedish female ducks could get very loud, and I think they quacked a lot more often than the calls. The calls only quack when they hear me coming, or they get separated from each other. Most of the time, they are fairly quiet. Can’t say the same for roosters, and even some chicken hens!

LOL we all have ducks and used to mess - never apologize for that! Besides - it looks pretty clean all things (lots of poopy ducks) considered!

Don’t ya just love how ducklings do the head tilt thing when they look at you? A couple pics I just took.
