2019 Spring Ducklings are here!

Pics
Here are today's two. Cuter than average. No big tusks yet so still young. Maybe a little over 100 pounds apiece. I have had more than one 500+ pounders on my property. I am guessing you don't have these where you live.View attachment 1681433
Anything bigger than that we just dispatch. I prefer them just a little smaller. I have a friend two counties over that shot 75 last year.

One is a sow which is probably eating material. One is a boar so probably not. The sow had 14 piglets. (Animal lovers triggering event follows). I want to catch some as I thought beer can pig would be pretty tasty. We have lots of acorns around here and they get a good diet. Soil is very sandy, so no mud flavor. I think they are tastier than store bought. That said, I could never process and eat one of my ducks. Duck meat is purchased.

bahaha that dr smith was creepy. theyre savage eh
They have been known to attack. Some have a disease similar to rabies that they pass on to you if they bite. I have seen them keep going after being hit in their head with a .40 cal at 10 meters, keep going from being shot with 00 buck at 20, and travel more than 500 meters and disappear when shot in the lungs with an ‘06

Yes. I try not to walk my property unarmed. I wish to be cremated after death and not eaten.
are you saying theyd dig up a corpse?

wow. Running on pure rage. Moose are like that here. 12g slug to the face and still run 40 metres and stop a tree to death

not exactly. They will kill you and then eat you. They are opportunistic eaters with big tusks and are surprisingly fast.
