That sounds like a good plan. I cannot use that excuse at the moment but I want runner females and at least a Cayuga. BTW, the ones we hatched back in August and gave to friends turned out to be 3 drakes 1 hen

WannaBeHillBilly, Harrison County in Texas? - I remember the area as very lush and green, but a bit swampy. We drove through there on our road trip to Memphis, TN.

I did not explore much of the county the month that we lived there assisting our daughter-in-law while her husband was overseas. Our house is in a clearing on nine acres of trees on a dead end road.

Dead End! - That sounds like paradise to me, you won't have no through traffic.

I don't have any experience with Muscovies so maybe someone else can weigh in. I only have mallard type ducks as I raise for eggs.

Our neighbors are not very friendly & outgoing, they are cemetery residents. We can not see it but we know they are just down the road from us.

Guess what: I have a little private cemetery on my land!
We didn't knew it before we bought the property and my wife is scared about this.

We were surprised when our son picked this particular property of the two when he was looking for a place to build a home. But the neighbors have not caused any problems that we are aware of.

My fall ducklings are still in axe murder mode. I should be able to sex them next week and I'd who goes to freezer camp. No body else died or seems sick so I think I'm right the Sue laid herself to death. No dino eggs since she died.

My fall ducklings, now ducks, always sound the QUACK-alarm when i leave the house…
