Hope you are feeling better. You scared me. Pipers brood mate finally started laying.

Is she laying big or small eggs ? Piper cannot make a decision. Some days they are smaller than K/C and some days they are bigger than Pekin.

Tiny little eggs. But oblong. If you touch your first finger to your thumb. About that size. How long has Piper been laying?. I got three tiny eggs yesterday. Since all my other hens are six weeks younger than Hilde, I'm confused.

Piper has been laying 4 or 5 weeks now almost every day. Today was a Rouen size but oblong egg. I don’t understand why it took the broodmate so long. We get within a minute or two the same amount of daylight.

I got an egg from Brandy this morning and something had eaten the little Hilde egg. No more from yesterdays mystery layers.

Duckling Update 2020-09-26: They have graduated from their shallow bowl to the bigger size rubber bowl and had their first real "hot-tub party" yesterday afternoon. I know it is a long video, but it is full of funny moments! Have fun watching.

Have you tried to feed them an extra portion of cat food in the evening?
All that extra protein helps with re-growing the feathers and egg-production.

We may need to add cat food. Bandit is molting right now. The only old duck that has not molted recently is our K/C.

My ducks prefer the 9lives daily essentials over every other brand, but that big blue bag is still trying to swallow them…
