The two losses took a while for us to get over and quickly ended free ranging. The vet stuff though, it can be tough. My wry neck girl may now always corkscrew her neck, and not really sure if its safe to re-integrate her now or maybe ever, as we've been treating her for 3ish weeks now. She has made considerable progress but still can't preen herself properly, and sometimes walks normally but in circles. And my bumblefoot boy, lol go figure, he is apparently my most skittish bird, so foot baths are always a bit challenging. I suppose a plus is the immense amount of medical knowledge I have gained rather quickly. Oui!In my long experience with any animal...we all go through loss! I can see where it would be hard when you are at work all day!![]()
Those types of problems can definitely be hard to deal with! It's always sad to lose a pet and to see others suffer! We lost our 14 year old lab and a year later our 12 year old cat, loved them both and miss them immensely along with all of the other beloved pets I've had and lost over the last 50+ years! It's never easy! The two losses took a while for us to get over and quickly ended free ranging. The vet stuff though, it can be tough. I remember when my 19 year old Tibetan Spaniel died from old age and my 11 year old Scottish Terrier died from cancer within a few months of each other! My cat died two months ago...just like that...I didn't even know he was sick! He was as funny and ornery as always and then not...kidney failure!I remember when my 19 year old Tibetan Spaniel died from old age and my 11 year old Scottish Terrier died from cancer within a few months of each other!
