Hope everyone has/had a great day!!
nice and warm outside again, we had another Barbecue yesterday.
I was busy gardening all day yesterday I planted some Canary Island date palms in the pots with the succulents.

the broody hen is now on day 6, I candled the eggs yesterday and all seven seem to be growing

Nearly everyone is laying now, 5 of the pullets hatched last September are starting to squat for the roosters so they will probably start laying soon. Some photos of the flock from this morning.

the little mini coop is now just a nesting area. The hens decided to use it for that themselves.

Welcome! It's awesome that you're enjoying your chickens so much, I do too, they are so much fun! Beautiful flock you have there!

I have a couple of videos of my chicks with worms on my coop page, so hilarious...especially the video where I first introduced the worms to them!

It's beautiful out here today!!! On top of that, my new incubator is arriving today!!! WooT!! now to figure out who's eggs I'll be using.... Hmmm.

Field wild flowers that were growing near the house, so pretty!

Middle kid mad at the chickens , oldest and youngest pointing out honey bees.

Clover! The honey bees love it, so I was telling the kids to go around it so not to step on any bees, cuz we need the good bees! Large flock enjoying the sun and scratch from their best bud.

What a fun time with your kids...I really miss those days!

Can't wait to see what you hatch...my husband just told me we're maxed out on chickens, so no more this year... I knew that already...lol!

We're close to the stall cage being done, not quite maxed yet but close.... Plus I can't help testing it!
I put one or two of each color that was layed today. So they'll be Brahma mix babies

How exciting! I can't wait to see them!

Well see how everything is next year...we might need to make an addition to the coop! Plus, I've just discovered Barnevelders and I would also love some Brahma's, so I NEED extra room to be able to add some to my flock...right?

Hi today my chickens turned 6 weeks old so I made them a cake it was grass mealworms a little bit of grit and some feed and they loved it they ate it so quick it was gone in minutes.
