It's cold out . Booth has started keeping Zach from fighting so much. Still working on cages. Hopefully getting wood for the shelves some time this week

Have to look at the future NN pen and find out how to keep the birds safe in it. I was losing teens out of it and that's why I stopped keeping birds therr, but I need to move this group out so I can shift the Cornish out of their room and start the rooster room.

It's snowed almost 5 inches, and is 26F now. No losses, but no one is happy, especially the birds that have to deal with snow.

I think Jezebell is laying, yay.

I'm a bit nervous that the Mystery pullet lost her last egg. She's been cooking them by accident somehow (maybe she's just too hot where she is?), And it was looking a bit like it had cooked last night. But I'm still hoping that it's just that it's so close to hatching that it was nothing

When I ordered from Welp last year, I watched for an email saying they shipped, but none came. So I called, and was told that the hatch date is the ship date, and you won’t hear from them unless something changes. From other hatcheries (MMM and Sandhill) I did receive a shipping notification email, but not from Welp.

After I picked my chicks up I got an email from PP Hatchery confirming they were shipped and expect them in 24-48 hrs.
