They wouldn't be rodent proof but if you don't have that issue they're great.
I have three that I've had for years now.
A cheap alternative is they make a lid for 5 gallon buckets too. I got a few from Lowe's a couple years back for like $8 each.
Been experimenting with bucket feeders so I'll be getting more soon for those.

I use horizontal nipples, but chicks can't trigger them so I'd like to make a waterer with vertical nipples to start training them to drink from a nipple.

You know, I think one of the top things I've wanted to do in training chickens (and our ducks) involves a mini agility course. And I wonder if perhaps this would help get it started, with of course a need to modify and lower some of the items. I know Dr. Sophia Yin had trained chickens in the past on mini homemade obstacle courses, and I think this would be too cool.

I am very conscious about my flocks health. I always purchase organic non gmo food for them and try to give them a lot of fresh snacks and veggies. This supplement looks amazing since we don’t have a lake for them it seems like a nice way for them to get a kelp fix.

I’ve been having an issue with mice eating feed off the run floor. So far I haven’t seen any poop inside the coop so hopefully this trap will work. And it’s so cute!
